Hello! My name is Joey. I'm a Filipino student currently based in France. I do not have much teaching experience, but I have been speaking English for 25 years. I have lots of experience in writing and editing for the purposes for business, journalism, and personal creative projects as well.

Though I am new, I am also highly adaptable and can respond well to your particular needs.
Given this, in our first session together you can expect me to ask a few questions about you and why you're learning English--but there is no need to be shy! This is so I can ensure I teach you in a manner that works best for YOU. Depending on your answers we can work through textbooks and coursework together, chat about your hobbies or other more casual topics, we can read things together, some mix of all three, or something new!

I believe two important things to learning a language will be cooperation and immersion. A classroom is a two way street. So with me, I can guarantee you a learning environment that is tailored to your needs as a student. We will work together to set your pace, your schedule, and to choose your material. Anything from books about the stock market to interesting news articles, even your favorite comic books or videogames can become avenues for learning. Your comfort is of course my highest concern, so anything you don't want to touch on with me, or anything you think won't be effective for you, will be out.
