As current Harvard University student and an experienced tutor, I have had the pleasure of working with a diverse group of international students ranging from 16-21 years old. Throughout my tutoring career, I have developed a set of qualities that I believe are essential to creating an engaging and productive learning environment for my students. One of my key strengths is my patience and empathy. I understand that each student has their own unique learning style and may require additional support and guidance. I am always willing to take the time to listen to my students, understand their needs, and adjust my teaching methods accordingly. In addition, I am committed to meeting students where they are at in their learning journey. Whether a student is struggling with a particular concept or excelling in a particular area, I make it my mission to personalize my approach to fit their specific needs. I believe that this tailored approach helps to build trust and fosters a more productive learning environment. Lastly, I am a strong believer in the power of positive reinforcement and creating a fun learning environment. I believe that students are more likely to engage with material when they are having fun and feel a sense of accomplishment. Therefore, I aim to make learning enjoyable by incorporating games, real-life examples, and interactive activities into my lessons.
