My methodology is to focus on the pronunciation of most common words and phrases. I will secure study material for you to practice with on your own time (and/or to review together), but the best use of time is to make sure you are understood when speaking. This starts with basic vowel sounds as well as the often confusing silent sounds in English and how to tell when they appear. In the studying, we will also focus on memorization of most common phrases, either for travel or for everyday use. The goal is to get to a "movie level" of English so that you can understand most scenes, and hold similar interactions in your own life. With that, we will break down famous scenes that contain readily understandable English to practice listening and understanding. Of course I will adjust the program to fit your designs, or what you are looking to learn. It is important that you feel the work is relevant to why you want to learn English, and you are enjoying the study. Part of the study will include writing, creating stories and playing word games. Short poems such a Haiku are great to practice sounding out words and limericks are a great way to practice creating rhymes. I am a super patient person so I will take as much time as you need on specific areas or even phrases.
